Yes India has poverty but thats just a small feature. India has diverse culture, huge population (largest english speaking population), great heritage and yeah the largest democracy in the world.
For tourism it offers a great range- highest mountain range in the world, some of the beautiful beaches spanning three big oceans/seas, lot many heritage and archeology sites.
The population is huge but the rates are falling inspite of no China like measures. People are free in every real sense. The population also makes Indians one of the smartest people on the earth as they have to come up facing huge competition.
India has the largest population of Muslims in the world and is yet not a Muslim country.
There are many Indians who feature in the rich guys list of US, UK and other developed countries. Yet there are many people who are poor.
There are areas where the temperatures reach sub zero and other where the max temp goes up to 50 degrees celsius.
The ethnicity of Indians is a mix of Asians, Mongols, Negroids, Europeans so Indians come in all shades of skin.
Its one of the few countries who are nuclear and have their own space research and satellites. And all with indegenous research.
Where do you find such diversity?
